Elite PLC and Elite 200/500
The DiaLog Elite is a flexible and powerful solution for monitoring the critical operations of a small or large plant with PLCs or SCADA systems.
The Elite PLC and Elite 200 are designed to interface directly to PLCs and SCADA systems via a simple serial connection cable. The Elite PLC offers a combination of physical I/O and Modbus RTU communication totaling up to 72 monitored/controlled points. The Elite 200/500 only supports communication over Modbus RTU for 200 or 500 monitored/controlled points.
Both units operate as Modbus Masters to read values from PLCs or from SCADA systems. In addition, each supports being a Modbus Slave to a SCADA system.
The Elite PLC and Elite 200/500 provide a local user interface to view/change conditions monitored and controlled by the PLC. The Elites can automatically compute and log the pump run-times and cycles as well as totalized flow. This information can be viewed locally or retrieved remotely via phone, via modem connection from a PC or even directly to the Internet.
Typical conditions that are monitored and provide alarm notification:
- High alarm from either a float or a level sensors
- Pump failure indicated by each motor starter failures, over temperature or seal failure
- Loss of power
- Amperage to each motor
- VFD failures
- Bar screen motor, settling tank pump, and effluent pump failures
- Personnel access to station - when on-site and total time on-site
- Intrusion
- Communication between the PLC or SCADA and the Elite
Typical conditions that are monitored and reported for information purposes only:
- Run-times and run cycles for 2-16 pumps
- Tank levels are continually logged to provide a profile of station activity
- Log and retrieve daily pump cycles and run-times for weeks
